Taking an individualized, root cause approach to health.
I make healthy living simple by providing evidence-based education on lifestyle habits that support lifelong wellness.

Hi! I’m Dr. Rachel Franks, founder of Plant-Powered Health & Wellness. I am a board-certified clinical pharmacist and certified diabetes care and education specialist with over 20 years of experience in diabetes care, chronic disease prevention and management, and patient education. I am passionate about helping people realize that a chronic disease doesn’t have to feel like a life sentence.
Through evidence-based lifestyle changes, many chronic conditions can be prevented, treated, and sometimes even put into remission.
I’ve had the privilege of helping thousands of individuals and groups of people make lasting lifestyle changes to improve their health and well-being.
My approach is practical, compassionate, and judgment-free. I believe that education is foundational for successfully making small, consistent changes which lead to remarkable health outcomes. Empowering people allows them to reclaim their health and live with greater energy, confidence, and vitality.
